Four degrees customization differentiating between “generic,” “tailored,” “specific,” “unique” processes are presented discussed. Research limitations/implications The findings show applied mean create efficiencies position modular within capabilities framework, supporting responsiveness expanding literature management (SCM), capabilities, logistics. Practical implications research proposes consensus-based model, facilitating advancement context lays foundation interoperability among diverse Originality/value First attempt elucidate specific characteristics unique defining an HSCPM, this unprecedented sector, setting base toward industry standard.
